The Winter Planning Meeting of DFI was held on Marco Island, Florida the weekend of February 6th, 1999. Following discussions on related matters, Mike Holloway was installed as chairman of a reorganized Committee on Deep Foundations Testing and Implementation. Members of APTLY are urged to support the activities of this committee by direct participation as active members. DFI committees are open to membership by any individuals with professional/vested interest in the area(s) of interest of the particular committee. You need not be a member of DFI or APTLY to serve as a member of this reorganized DFI Committee. The internet will serve as the primary medium for communication among members of this new committee. Additional members and input on the directions to be pursued by this committee are sought at this time.
